What a wonderful day!
Today was all about team work. Alanah and Andra needed to work as a team to create a flower for our display board.
The learners needed to draw around their hands, cut out the hand shape, decorate each hand petal with oil pastels, and then stick these to a paper to create a colourful flower.
They both worked incredibly well, and created an equal amount of petals each. The patterns varied from each learner, which makes the flower more exciting!
Alanah then added the yellow circle to the middle of the flower, and Andra helped create the stem and the leaf.
The flower really adds to the display board! It is big, bold, and bright!
We added a little quote underneath the flower; ” We are each unique and beautiful, but together we are a masterpiece”
During the session we discovered that Andra knows almost all the words to the top 30 songs from the 80’s! Andras wonderful singing encouraged Alanah to join in and created a really fun atmosphere whilst they were completing some great art. Alanah loved the flower so much, she wanted to take the whole piece home! We even had a selfie! (Alanah insisted on me being in it!)
Both learners worked together which resulted in them getting great feedback on their feedback sheets.
